What Can We Do to Reach our Goals for American Industry?
Join together and speak with one
voice.
Join the Society for American Industry.
Members will have access to the time-tested Sales Analysis Institute (SAI
™) system for effective communications. Since 1932 SAI
™ methods have been used by many large and small companies to improve productivity, increase sales and gain
willing acceptance for their plans, policies and ideas. We will promote the best interests of our members by using SAI
™ methods to design, develop and
coordinate petitions, legislative actions and press releases. We believe that the business of America is American business.
The Society for American Industry
will supply members with materials to help promote the buying American ethic. "Buy American - the Job You Save May Be
Mine (or Yours)."
Convince government to stand up for American manufacturers and
workers.
To help us reach our goals, government
must stand up for
America. Government is our theoretical and constitutional servant. It must do what is right for
the citizens of the United States. It must make America 's international trade model a two way street across a level playing field.
Our government must separate foreign trade from “foreign policy”, or subordinate the latter to
the former. Our government must pay more attention to Main Street and less attention to Wall Street.
Create a "Two Way Street Trade Team". The new
American trade policy will be based on equilibrium. If the nation of Eastern Electronica is
selling a billion dollars in goods to the United States, the United States will be able to export a billion dollars in American products and services to
Eastern Electronica without
tariffs or non-tariff barriers. The United States has lost or never had a comparative advantage in many industries. However we do have abundant raw
materials and we are creative in developing new products and technologies.
Under the auspices of the U.S. Commerce Department, we will assemble a team of the best
negotiators from American business and labor and design an equitable trade policy which is firm and consistent. This Two Way Street Trade Team will be empowered to negotiate bilateral trade agreements according to the policy
that is determined to be at least equally in the best interests of the United
States.
Develop "Magnet Projects" to revitalize vital
industries.
The first Magnet Projects is the U.S. WheelHouse ™
concept .
